Summa
Mental-math training that adapts to every learner, aged 4 to adult.

Overview
A daily ten-minute plan that knows what you're ready for next: a warm-up, one new skill and a one-minute test. Tricks, lessons and games carry a learner from first counting to squares and fractions.
Summa is free, with no ads, no purchases and no tracking. It works without an account. Signing in only backs up progress and syncs it across devices.
Each family member gets their own profile and plan. Younger children see a simpler screen with big buttons and no clock, and parents can opt into a weekly email report. It's available in English, Arabic, French, Spanish and German. Arabic is fully right-to-left, with a choice of standard or Arabic-Indic digits.
Under the hood
The features that took real engineering
- 01
An adaptive engine with its own spec
Every skill has a rating that rises and falls with speed and accuracy, plus an uncertainty that grows while you're away. Together they decide what to practise next, how hard it should be, and when a skill counts as mastered.
- 02
One engine, three platforms, exact agreement
The engine is written once as a reference and ported to iOS and Android. Both ports must replay a shared set of test scenarios and produce exactly the same results before a release ships.
- 03
Spaced review of facts
Facts like 7 × 8 come back just before you'd forget them. A placement test finds a new learner's level in minutes.
- 04
Scores that can't be faked
Ranked runs are replayed on the server with the same engine, and only then count toward daily, weekly and all-time leaderboards.
- 05
Content as signed packs
Lessons, tricks and games are built as validated, signed content packs. The app downloads only what changed, and everything works offline.
- 06
Built for four-year-olds and adults alike
Age bands change how lessons are presented: tap answers and narration for young children, a full keypad, streaks, 10 ranks and 86 achievements for older learners.
